Guilin

In the summer of 2025 I spent 3 months in Guilin, China studying Chinese at the Chinese Language Institute. The city and surrounding areas are renown for their natural beauty and dramatic karst formations (geography formed by softer rock in the terrain, like limestone, eroding over time). So much so that the scenery is featured on the back of the Chinese ¥20 bill.
